My Experience
For this project, I created prop models as well as surfaced models. Before this project, I had very little experience creating models for games and didn't know how to create high-quality models with a limited poly count. While creating some of the more detailed props such as the bar and bar stools, I learned how to use new tools such as the soften edge tool. While surfacing models, I had to pay attention to texture set resolution as well as texture disk space size. Previously I had always set my textures between 1k and 4k, not having to worry about the performance of real-time rendering. Overall this project was a huge learning experience and introduced me to a variety of aspects that are important in creating environments for video games.
